As fall approaches, at Learn And Play Montessori we have some good news! We still have a few places left at our best-in-class Danville Montessori preschool campus. However, the bad news is that they will not last for very long. If you are looking for Danville Montessori preschools for your child, we suggest you contact us IMMEDIATELY and book a school tour and come by and see just how well our children are doing.
Our Danville Montessori preschool is just off the I-680, so is very convenient for children from San Ramon, Tassajara, Blackhawk, Diablo, and Walnut Creek as well. Our hours are also very convenient for working parents, since we open at 7.00 am and don’t close until 6.30 pm, so whatever your working hours you can drop your child off on the way to work and pick him or her up again on the way home.
Our campus is built in a Tudor cottage style, and we have eight large and light classrooms with windows which have been extended. The school sits in a huge playground which has been divided up by age groups so that the children can learn and play together and explore the natural world.
A Method Of Learning Rather Than Teaching
If you have heard of the Montessori method of learning, but are not quite sure how it all works, we can explain. Note we said method of learning, not teaching. The Montessori method is based around the fact that each child is a unique individual with his or her own likes and dislikes, and that each child has his own abilities. Some children are faster learners than others, but with the Montessori method that doesn’t matter in the slightest.
Each of the classrooms is filled to the brim with a wide choice of Montessori materials and the children are allowed to walk about and look at all of them and select whatever takes their interest. So, instead of sitting listening to a teacher talking about something, our children are all experimenting with something that is of interest to them. The result is that they very quickly learn to love learning for the sake of learning. They WANT to explore and learn more, and they use all their five senses to do so.
There s no pressure, either. Each child learns at his own rate and we make certain that the quicker learners have access to new materials so that they do not get held back.
If you are looking for Danville Montessori preschools, we do still have a few places available for the fall, but we suggest that you contact us quickly because they will very soon be filled.
